Spotlight on our Investments

Our investment team researches over 500 VC funds a year but invests in just 8-15. This scrutiny ensures our investors have access to an actively managed portfolio of funds from some of the world's best emerging and established Venture Capital fund managers.  

Following a highly strategic portfolio construction we continuously invest in 2-3 new funds per quarter to reduce any portfolio construction blind spots. Our portfolio is thereby never static and adapting to market cycles. We active buy secondary in existing vintages from LPs to further diversify and sometimes sell our positions to other LPs to balance our portfolio.

Draper Cygnus, initially a small Argentinian concept fund, has grown into a key deep tech investor with successes like Auth0 and Satellogic. Partnering with Tim Draper eight years ago expanded their reach and focus on Latino founders in frontier tech sectors such as AI, biotech, aerospace, and blockchain. The firm invests early, with Fund III targeting $30–$50M, offering $1M first checks and reserving 30% for follow-ons. With a concentrated portfolio of 20–30 companies, Draper Cygnus plans a first close by March, offering special terms for early participants and highlighting a unique opportunity in underserved markets.
